If you need a place to keep your valuables safe from prying hands and eyes, the Secret Safe may be right for you. This project shows you how create a secure safe out of ordinary furniture (any shape or size), including; dresser or kitchen drawers (for jewelry, money, credit cards), foot locker (for guns, skis), garage cabinets (for tools, equipment), closets and cabinets (for filing cabinets, large objects). For about $100 you can build the eLock to secure your Secret Safe. This slide deck shows you how to design, build and install the eLock within an enclosure. The eLock operates via encrypted remote control.

For about $80 you can build the Battery Pack. The Battery Pack can be installed within a locked enclosure to provide power for the eLock. The Battery Pack remains dormant and provides “zero” power unless activated by an external magnet. This unique feature allows it to last for many years inside a locked enclosure without the need to replace batteries.
